Pogo

Pogo is an Australian DJ that has some of the most talented work I have ever seen. He's brilliant. I wanted to post some of his stuff because not many people back home know about him. What he does is take bits and pieces from old classic Disney films (usually) and then puts them together to make the most incredible songs. I still don't know where one would even start trying to attempt this, but he is brilliant. These are some of my favourites:

Joburg Jam was created when he was recently in South Africa for the Football World Cup. Nostalgia right here!

UPular Remix is from Disney Pixar's film UP. One of my favourite...

Pogo recently held a competition where people were able to enter animations for a remix called the Mellow Brick Road which he created from the original Wizard of Oz film. Not one of my favourite songs of his, but this animation was awesome!

Aminals by Baths

You have to listen to this song with headphones on. It's incredible when you pick up all of the little bits and pieces that are going on in there! It reminds me so much of my sister and the time I spent with her over Easter weekend...

Blues Festival, Mazzurega, Italia

Another sneaky little music festival. Europe in the summer is amazing. The people here really celebrate the sunlight, and every weekend there is bound to be some sort of ridiculous festa, sagra or manifestazione taking place...

Kitty Daisy and Lewis

The Kiwi I work with here in Tuscany, Will, introduced me to this band. They are called Kitty Daisy and Lewis, two sisters and a brother whose music I can't stop listening to. At first I wondered whether I was listening to old blues tracks from the deep south in America in the 1940's. But in fact, they perform live around the world travelling as a family today. You can even follow them on twitter (@KDandL). The sound is contagious, and it takes me to Stellenbosch back home in South Africa for some reason, most probably because it was the first time I ever watched live blues music. I know it's winter back home, but summer here is in full swing and we're jumping around Europe to this...

Brown Sugar Brown Sugar

Can't you imagine sitting in a little Tuscan village listening to this whilst sipping on a coffee and watching the beautiful people go by? Welcome to my world....

Man About Town

Man About Town is a publication here in Europe that focuses on men's fashion and style. Unfortunately I am yet to get my hands on one of the magazines, but one thing for sure is that they have wicked little clips that they bring out with their seasonal ranges. This is one of them with Aaron Johnson. Really great take on old school 70's style with the haircut, chunky knit sweater, and the pants with the short legs revealing the white socks. Awesome.

The Paper Moon.

One of my favourite songs by Nat King Cole... Found this little pub on the South bank.

Man About Town

Is this just not the most well executed fusion of two completely different worlds you've ever seen? I first saw this on a blog called The Fox Is Black, a very polished publication which a friend told me to take a look at. It actually gave me a lot of inspiration for what I'm trying to achieve on this page. A celebration of life, and the things that surround me. This is a place where I want people to come and take five minutes out of their day to sit, search and then say "Damn, that's pretty cool"!

Kilian Martin did this for me...
